We’re seeking an Operations Manager who is equal parts strategist and doer. This role is deeply data-driven and requires expertise in data analysis, forecasting, and systems management. The ideal candidate has several years of operations and supply chain experience but thrives in a small-company setting where adaptability, collaboration, and hands-on execution are essential.

You will manage our end-to-end supply chain and operations—including forecasting, inventory, logistics, and vendor relationships—while also becoming a “super-user” of our ERP and other systems. This role demands someone who loves diving into spreadsheets, dashboards, and KPIs, but also enjoys building processes, negotiating with partners, and making sure product gets where it needs to go, on time.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Data & Forecasting: Build and maintain demand forecasts and supply plans by channel using historical data, trends, and revenue goals.
- Own product SKU and UPC data creation and inventory data in ERP/B2B systems.
- Supply Chain & Logistics: Manage relationships with factories, mills, suppliers, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners. Oversee purchasing, production timelines, inbound/outbound logistics, and customs documentation.
- Inventory Management: Lead inventory lifecycle management, audits, and reporting. Develop strategies for overages, obsolescence, and margin improvement working closely with Sales and Ecommerce teams.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies, design solutions, and implement processes that improve cost, speed, and quality across the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Sales, and DTC teams to align supply with demand, pricing, manage surcharges and shipping costs, and optimize margins.
- Go To Market: Critical role in GTM process working with all departments creating standardized, repeatable processes for bringing products to market.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure regulatory compliance and manage quality control via third-party partners.
- Player-Coach Mindset: Balance long-term strategic planning with willingness to handle tactical, day-to-day operations as part of a lean team.
- Champion Wild Rye Sustainability efforts: integrating eco-friendly practices across day-to-day processes, such as procurement, production, logistics, and facilities management.

As a small team, this role will be a swiss army knife-like team player—no task is too big or too small. Role will support all departments as the data wizard, master of our systems, and other one-off projects as they arise including potential travel to support Wild Rye events.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of operations, supply chain, or logistics management experience with physical products (apparel experience preferred).
- Proven data expertise: highly proficient in Excel, PowerBI (or similar), ERP/B2B systems, and demand planning tools.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated success in managing vendor/partner relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Strong project management skills (Asana expert a plus).
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing and managing multiple projects.
