"There’s a new clothing company that launched just this month, focusing on performance outdoor wear for women who embrace mountain sports. Wild Rye Mountain Apparel starting small, is focusing on just a few select products for mountain bikers this season. Its two tops are made of my favorite fabric for outdoor pursuits, merino wool, and will ably serve women hiking or even afterwards at the bar, as well as riders tearing down the single track. One shirt is a cap-sleeve tee ($69) and the other a long-sleeve henley with a snap placket ($109). I wrote about the fabulous properties of merino in my first Forbes column, here, including being natural, breathable, no-itch and no-stink. Buttermilk, like a number of other merino outdoor clothing manufacturers, adds some nylon to the mix for additional strength." - Allison Olmsted, Forbes
