This extra lightweight short is your new BFF on those hotter days. The new Riley features a 10" inseam and an elastic back on the waistband for a little extra forgiveness around the midsection. The Riley is made up of 90% recycled poly / 10% spandex blend for a perfect, breathable ride.

Available in sizes 0-16.



Jungle Cats: It’s in the name —we love to get a little wild. This hand-drawn pointillism print is our most intricate to-date and deserves a long look to really see all the details. 

Wild Rye ships via USPS for standard shipping, so please provide your PO Box address if that is how you get your mail (talking to you mountain town people!). Standard shipping is free for orders over $100. For more details on all of our shipping options, see below. 

Standard Shipping

Our standard shipping option is USPS Ground Advantage, and is free for orders over $100, or $9 for orders under $100. This shipment method generally takes 3-7 business days to deliver after the package is shipped. 

USPS Priority Mail

Need to get your order a little faster? We offer USPS Priority Mail for $12. This shipment method generally takes 2-4 business days to deliver after the package is shipped. 

UPS 3 Day Select

Our UPS 3 Day Select shipping option is $25 for all domestic orders, and ensures that the package ships with UPS. Shipments can be expected to deliver 3 business days after the ship date. PO boxes are not accepted for this shipment method.

UPS 2nd Day Air

UPS 2nd Day Air is our fastest shipping option and costs $35. Shipments can be expected to deliver 2 business days after the ship date. PO boxes are not accepted for this shipment method. 

Standard International Shipping

International shipping is $25. Wild Rye does not cover duties, taxes and other fees determined by the customs agency within the destination country. These fees will be due at the time of delivery and are non-refundable.

What a cute pair of shorts! I was between sizes so sized down after asking customer support. With the longer inseam and stretchy fabric they’ve worked out just perfectly. I think these will be my new favourite shorts for hot, long all mountain rides. My only negative is that after 1 low speed crash the material looks a little grazed, so I’m not sure how durable they’ll be.

The perfect length!

Love these shorts! So comfy, stretchy and great fit! Not too long so they don’t look like boy shorts, but long enough to cover the chamois and protect from the bike seat and look like MTB shorts. I just wish they came in more colors, only 1 available.

Fun shorts to show off

So I purchased these shorts for going over my chamois when mountain biking or wearing by themselves for cruising bike rides around my neighborhood. The fabric is thin and super stretchy and worked very well. They didn’t add any bulk or heat. The fit is great and I plan to order some pants soon.

Cute short, sizing off

I love the print but the waist is too big. My waist measures 32 and hips 39 and most of my shorts are size 10 as is the Riley short I purchased. The waist could be another 2 inches smaller for a good fit. The hips also fit a little loose but not a big deal. Since I bought it on sale I can't return it. I did reach out to customer support to help with sizing and they suggested a size 10. Will not be wearing on the bike but maybe around town. Bike shorts should have a waist adjustment as who wants to add a belt for biking. Love the prints and colors.
