Perfect top for any activity! I like loose tops because I think they evaporate sweat faster. This is perfect imo loose but flattering, and easy to pack away when you need to delayer. I have in teal, black, and lavender and wear almost daily for running, mtb, ski touring.
This is the perfect long sleeve jersey to stay cool and protected in! It is super comfortable and stretchy, breathes amazingly well, and fits really nicely. I've found myself reaching for it every single time I ride!
This and the Freel shorts were my first Wild Rye purchase, and overall, I'm very pleased with them. I live in HI, so this lightweight material is perfect for fall/winter outdoor activities at elevation in my climate. Wild Rye's tops sizing isn't the best for my personal body type, but I'd still give it 5 stars since you can hardly blame a company for having an accurate size chart. (I'm tall and flat-chested, so while my waist-hip measurements are a solid size 0 and my bust is between 0-2, my torso and shoulder measurements are a closer to a size 12-14.) Abby in customer service was great with fielding questions though. The size 2 that I bought does look a tad narrow in the shoulders, but it doesn't restrict my movement, and the cuff falls right above my wrist bones. I don't think I would have wanted to size up any further though since the jersey, is relatively loose in the body and I don't like super baggy clothes.
It’s a little big, if you have smaller breasts then size down a smidge. But this shirt is legendary and I’d live in it….I do live in it? Running. Biking. Hiking. All of it. I’m betting it’ll make a good ski touring layer for warmer days too.
Not often does a piece of clothing check all of the boxes: Comfortable, washes well, functional, cute, etc. The material is soft enough to be against your skin and tough enough to withstand a little adventure. It's lightweight enough to take off the evening chill when it's warm out, and I definitely see myself wearing this as a great base layer for ski season. The 8 on me is roomy enough to throw over something else, but I might consider sizing down my next Holly so it feels a bit more snug.
