Freda 7" Bike Short
Everything women love about the Freel, but in a shorter 7" inseam. Same fabric, same prints, same great side pockets, but a slightly re-tooled fit to accommodate a shorter inseam.
AVAILABLE IN SIZES: 0-18
NOTE: like all our limited edition prints and colors, when a colorway is gone, it's gone for good!
Llamas Mahogany - Possibly the print we’re most excited about this season, our new llama print is a modern interpretation of one of our OG fan-favorite prints.
Ginkgo Blush - the ginkgo print was such a hit last fall, we decided to bring it back in a new colorway.

These Wild Rye shorts are my favorite to wear mountain biking. They are comfortable, fit perfectly and are adorable. Other brands can be tighter in the thigh area but not these. I can choose to wear padded undergarments or not depending on the terrain. I will be purchasing more!
After dialing in my size, I only want to wear wild rye ! They look great, fit amazing with the Alice padded bottoms. I wear a size 4 In the Freyah pants, and a size 6 in the Freda shorts, and when I am mountain bike guiding in the backcountry, these are all I wear for riding and working. If i could wear them every day I would ! I have a small waist, but very thick thighs and these fit great with no ride up or chafing . Thanks , ladies! I recommend to all my clients
I like the 7” inseam and the overall look of these shorts. They’re comfortable to ride in and stretchy. The fabric is a little thicker than I expected, but it probably makes them durable, so not necessarily a bad thing.
For things I would change about them - I wish they came with a method to adjust the waist to make it tighter/ looser, as they did stretch out and start falling down towards the end of my ride. I also think the pockets would be better if they all had zipper enclosures. There is currently one pocket with a zipper and two without. So still lots of pocket space but with the risk of things falling out.
For sizing - I found I needed to go up one size from the chamois.
I just got these shorts for biking and now permanently wish to dwell inside of them. They are so comfortable and also so freaking cute. I have crashed pretty well in them and they took it like a champ. I would definitely recommend these!
I sized up thinking that I would need to since bike shorts usually aren’t super stretchy but you don’t need to! My next pair i will be sizing down. They are also the perfect length; still feminine but practical!
I really like these shorts for mountain biking, hiking and camping. I've been purchasing size 4 in Wild Rye's products across the board and these are another great fit. They're a little looser than the Freyah pant, but it's nice for fitting my chammys underneath or wearing solo. I normally don't like more than a 5" inseam but the 7" is great! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like the length. The waist is wide and comfortable, side pockets are awesome, and I feel so cute as I pedal my way through the woods.
