Terracotta inspired by the pandemic houseplant craze. While we were all stuck inside, we looked for a little bit of outside to bring us comfort and joy. Our love of house plans has not subsided
Paradise was inspired by all the tropical vacations we were missing. The fauna of our favorite island destinations!
Road Trip There’s nothing quite like a road trip given the state of the world we were really relishing in these hand-drawn adventure vehicles.
Forest Fungi is a whimsical take on the fungi that grows in the thick forests of the northwest, adapted to give an abstract pattern on your new favorite bike short
Porcupette It wouldn’t be a spring release without one of our favorite animal doodles. At the time of design, we were all feeling a little prickly while being housebound for far too many months!
Wild Rye ships via USPS (yep, we’re buying up as many stamps as possible to do our part to save the US Postal Service) - please provide your PO Box address if that is how you get your mail (talking to you mountain town people!)

Freel | Women's Bike Short - FINAL SALE
The fit looks good but sometimes has issues while riding. I'm 5'8 and 140-145lbs and wear a size 6. Without a belt they would be sliding down while riding but the legs are a snug fit so I can't size down. Even with a belt I've had the seat of the pant snag on my seat which hasn't happened in other shorts. I have the yellow poppy one which is super fun and had been perfect for dry desert riding. I just moved to the PNW from the SW and the yellow is quickly getting stained by the mud which is a bummer and makes me wish there was a larger selection of darker colors. I was going to get one of the fungi ones but it will turn brown so quickly. Also the poppy designs are rubbing off on the seat and the stitching is coming undone in less than a year.
So overall they are comfy to ride in, have held up in crashes, but the designs and stitching don't seem to be that durable.
Hi Georgia - thank you for your review and feedback. We have updated the waistband so that it won't relax as much over time on this spring's Freel, Freda and Freyah styles and beyond. It's feedback from amazing people like you that helps us continually improve and create better product for women, so thank you!
I have been on multiple rides with these shorts. The fabric is great, the length is great. The fit was really good until I rode in them. My one complaint is that the waist stretches out almost full size. This creates a problem when you are on and off your seat all the time. I have had them catch on the front of my bike seat a couple of times creating a bit of a hazard. They do have belt loops but the idea of wearing a belt while mt biking is pretty unappealing. (Too much stuff around the waist already, chamios, shorts, pack hip belt) I like to try and wear them for a fews rides before I wash them. They do seem to shrink back down after washing in cold and line drying. I might try to sew in my own system because I really do like everything else about the shorts. Please consider solving this problem and I would love to continue to buy these shorts!
Love these shorts! I wear chammies underneath most of the time, I’m 5’6” and 135-140 lbs and the size 4 is great. Works well with my fox knee pads, nice water resistant treatment for puddles or drizzly days, and who can argue with the amazing patterns? Only thing i would change is putting a zipper pocket on the lower left leg— when I’m doing lift served biking, I walk through the gates with my bike on the right, and would love to be able to put my pass in a zippered pocket on the left side.
I really love the fabric and design on the fabric - and that it is a little stretchy. However, when I bend over to tie my shoe or grab something on the ground, because its a snap and not a button or one of the metal grab clasps (not sure what they are called), it will un-snap. I am a bit heavier of a girl, but the next size up was too big. The shorts fit great while upright and are actually a little looser on the top, but with the shape of my stomach it pushes on the front when bending over. having a more stretchy/giving top part would be nice - to be tighter when upright and then still hug when bending over, but not overstretched that the snap pops open. Really cute, but had to give it less stars for the constant feel of my button possibly popping open.
