Wild Rye Selected by Ladies AllRide as Official Apparel Partner for 2022 and Beyond
January 27, 2022
Ladies AllRide and Wild Rye will also collaborate to elevate women-identifying mountain bikers through skills, great-fitting apparel, community and confidence.
KETCHUM, Idaho (January 27, 2022) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Wild Rye, the apparel brand choice for women-identifying outdoor lovers, is excited to share that it has partnered with Ladies AllRide, the mountain bike skills camp series that brings women together to grow, learn and share the joys of mountain biking, as its official apparel provider through 2023. Via elevated apparel offerings and skills camps, the two brands will work together to welcome more women-identifying individuals to the sport of mountain biking, and continue to create confidence and community for beginning to advanced riders. Wild Rye joins long-time sponsors Liv Bicycles, SRAM / Rockshox and many other key bicycle industry brands in supporting Ladies AllRide.
In 2016, Wild Rye founders felt frustrated by the lack of offerings and missed opportunities in women’s mountain bike, snow sports and technical outdoor clothing–apparel that fell short in fit, fashion and function, along with durability and value–that appealed to a wide variety of body types. Five years later, Wild Rye has only begun to make its mark in the industry.
The Ladies AllRide mission to get more women into mountain biking was established in 2010 by Lindsey Richter. Richter has been in the bike industry for 20 years and launched Ladies AllRide after a decade in the bike world where she experienced very few women involved with the sport. Companies were run by men and there wasn’t a huge push to speak directly to women. With years of coaching experience, LAR takes a lot of care to place each rider in small groups based on answers to an extensive questionnaire to create a welcoming and fun camp experience for all.
“Having watched Ladies AllRide’s approach to reaching new women and welcoming them into the sport of mountain biking, this partnership was a no brainer” explained Cassie Abel, founder and CEO of Wild Rye. “Through their camp series, LAR builds community, confidence and has a lot of fun while doing it – like us! There’s no better group to put our technical pieces to the test, provide feedback and work with us hand-in-hand to help evolve and improve our product line for women. We are excited about all that’s to come between our two women-led brands.”
The teams behind Wild Rye and Ladies AllRide both strive to help women see the symmetry between bikes and life because they believe in the power of mountain biking as a catalyst for growth, change and connection with oneself and others. They have seen firsthand how mountain biking can change lives by helping people face fears, believe in themselves and learn what they’re capable of. They aim to share their passion with as many women as possible to help grow the community of female mountain bikers across the globe.
“We are really excited to work with Wild Rye as our official mountain apparel provider. We love the fit, feel and performance of the technical fabric and can’t wait to introduce their stylish mountain bike line to as many women as possible,” said Lindsey Richter, founder of Ladies AllRide. “With our combined missions to elevate women by building confidence and community, we felt a strong pull to work together. While Wild Rye is committed to making quality, durable and beautiful apparel for women, they are also committed to sustainability, supporting women-owned businesses and protecting the places we play. Working with a growing, women-led business like Wild Rye is pretty much a dream come true.”
Wild Rye is kitting out the LAR team head to toe (Freyah Bike Pants, Freel & Kaweah MTB Shorts, Galena Bike Gloves, Wild Rye’s new Salida Jersey, Tanks, Imogene Shacket, socks and more) and camp coaches with jerseys and other apparel pieces. All camp attendees will have the opportunity to try on Wild Rye samples on site, in addition to winning prizes and receiving special pricing for new gear.
