Hellooo friends! My name is KaJay and I’m an aspiring van-living, design-making mountain biker who lives out on the East Coast but travels all over. I really like to jump my bike and rip through powder-rich trees after spending time creating things. Making people laugh, dinosaurs, computer art, painting, drawing, clay or recycled creations are what bring me extra happiness when I’m not playing outside.

Dog’s name and breed (if applicable)? Kona (also accepts: sweet girl, little angel, oh muh goodness), rescue Boxer/Hound

Favorite trail (bike), favorite mountain (ski)? As much as I LOVE bike park days, I think my new favorite area to ride my bike has been up in North Conway NH - tough to pick one trail though. Favorite place to snowboard could be either Jay Peak or Loon for the riding and vibes

Go-to aprés beverage? Water or a Miller Lite (sorta the same thing depending on who you ask)

Day Job? Freelance Graphic Designer

How do you give back to your community/what are some causes you support? Two years ago I started a new women's bike event here in the North East and I've tried to search high and low (as well as taking recs from other riders) to bring in girls that may not be on everyone's radar just yet. This could give them a great foot in the door to the industry if they want that. Outside of that event, I like to coach more entry-level camps to help bring more women into the sport!

Favorite piece of Wild Rye gear? Pretty obsessed with anything in the Lilac color if I'm being honest, but the Freyah bike pants are probably my top choice. Ultra comfortable and very flattering - not to mention the fun patterns and colors that have come out since they launched!

Any fun or big plans for the winter/year? Hopefully, it actually snows here in the NE but just hoping to enjoy some winter days adventuring in the woods before I pack up and head to NZ for a month after 2024 rolls around. Lots of road-tripping and flights in the future as I look to finish the last few states I have to visit here in the US!
