Lindsey

I’m Lindsey - founder of Ladies AllRide, lifelong adventurer, and big believer in the power of bikes to change lives. Sometimes I feel like a small child who finds wonder in everything around me and doesn't take myself too seriously.

Where do you live and what’s your day job?
I grew up in Portland, OR and am lucky enough to now split time between Bend, OR and Silverton, CO - but Bend has been home for over 20 years. I’m the founder and "Director of Inspiration of Ladies AllRide Mountain Bike Skills Camps and Riding Retreats, where I wear a lot of hats - coaching, storytelling, and building community through mountain biking. My business partner Meredith makes the company run like a well-oiled machine.

What are 3 words your best friends would use to describe you?
Passionate, encouraging, goofy

What are 3 passions you have outside of work?
I get to do one of my main passions FOR work - Mountain biking and coaching - I also love snowboarding - skate skiing - dog walking - reading - traveling the globe

Something not many people know or would expect about you?
That I participated on the TV show Survivor season 3 Africa when it first aired and then was cast in an Eminem music video because of it. And I am a published children's book author: Mountain Biking Adventures with Izzy: Etiquette is a Big Word.

Biggest “send it” moment—on the mountain or in life?
Probably applying for Survivor after getting laid off from my advertising & PR job. My life took an incredible turn for the better after that.

Who’s someone that has inspired you to get after it in the mountains?
Women who show up scared and do it anyway - they inspire me every single day.

What’s one piece of gear you swear by?
I really can't live without all of my wool-based Wild Rye pieces. They are underlayers, pajamas, cozy kick around outfits. I mean, I wear them all the time.

What do you do when you're not skiing/riding/biking?
Hanging with my dude and our dog Izzy, road-tripping in my van from event to event with cool stops along the way, reading, and attempting to keep up with social media for the business.

How do you help build community in the outdoors?
Through Ladies AllRide - Together with my business partner Meredith, I hope we've created spaces where women feel welcome, supported, and inspired to ride and connect.
How do you encourage more women to step into outdoor spaces?
By meeting them where they are, building confidence, and showing them they belong out there.

Why Wild Rye?
I mean how can I not stand behind a woman-owned, women-led, environmentally conscious brand that caters to women in the outdoors!? I just love the people, the culture, and gear that’s as fun, thoughtful, and hardworking as the women behind it and the women wearing it.
