Where do you live and what’s your day job?
I live in Salt Lake City, Utah & I'm a designer/seamstress for my own company, George Factory.
What are 3 passions you have outside of work?
Outside of sewing hats I love skiing, a good 'fit & fighting the patriarchy.
Something not many people know or would expect about you?
I was 24 years old the first time I hit a jump or a rail on skis.
Biggest “send it” moment—on the mountain or in life?
Taking the leap to start my own business!
Who’s someone that has inspired you to get after it in the mountains?
My Mom! She taught me to ski & continues to push herself to ski new terrain at 70 years old.
What’s one piece of gear you swear by?
Merino wool base layers because your girl is way too sweaty to be wrapped in polyester.
What do you do when you're not skiing/riding/biking?
You’ll find me at the thrift store, then cuddled up with my cat, Graupel.
How do you encourage more women to step into outdoor spaces?
I love the switch from nervously approaching a feature, to hungry to go back for more. I’m always bringing friends to new terrain/features and helping them navigate it in a way that works for them, even if sometimes it means bailing this time around! I try to always speak my mind so that others feel comfortable doing the same.
Why Wild Rye?
Because they are committed to my two favorite things, women & the outdoors!
