8 years & one wild ride: a history of wild rye

Change is inevitable—so is growth. And over the last eight years, Wild Rye has seen plenty of both. From epic wins to lessons learned the hard way (plus a few mishaps so wild they belong in the hall of fame), it’s been one hell of a ride. As we step into this new era, we want to take a moment to look back at the twists, turns, and defining moments that got us here—because you’ve been part of the journey, too.

Infographic timeline of Wild Rye's history from 2016 to 2025, highlighting key events and milestones.

This week, Cassie Abel—our founder and CEO— recorded a podcast with Second Nature, that tells more of the "Behind the Scenes" story of the ups and downs of Wild Rye since pre-launch in 2025. Give'r a listen below!

My twin sister and I frequently purchase Wild Rye clothing and also receive it as gifts. At 69 we frequently take international cycling trips and bike locally wearing your clothing line. However I rarely see photos in your catalog and online of older cyclists. Please try to add a few more to illustrate that Wild Rye is for all ages.
