Having spent her childhood summers (and winters!) roaming around the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, Elorie feels fortunate to call Boulder, Colorado home for over a decade now.    Elorie learned early to chase adventure, and to the 43-year-old mom of two teenagers, adventures have come in every shape and size:  a degree in economics, an early career in commodities trading, picking up the mountain bike at age 30, making huge layer cakes with her girls, a Fulbright Hays fellowship in Morocco, owning a mountain bike shop, and annual Mexican pilgrimages to learn to surf are part of an ever-growing list.    Mountain biking has been a metaphor for personal growth in Elorie's life, and she often refers to her collection of mountain bikes as her "freedom machines".   Now as a storyteller and community builder in the mountain biking industry, Elorie's personal and professional passions converge at Pivot Cycles, where she is proud to lead a team made up of 50% women.
