We took our most playful prints from the Kaweah line and adapted them to accommodate our littler adventurers. The Kaweah is designed with a durable 90% recycled poly/10% spandex blend to give you a breathable mountain bike short that wicks sweat while moving with your pedal stroke. A DWR finish ensures that even the muddiest puddles won’t dampen your style.

You might be wondering what the difference is between the Kaweah and Freel. The two shorts share a lot in common: water repellency, a great fit, phenomenal style, and durability. The main differences you’ll find are in the fabric and thus the price! The Kaweah is a polyester blend, while the Freel is nylon. If you buy shorts from any of our fellow MTB loving brands, you’ll be familiar with a polyester short. It’s the workhorse. Wild Rye ships via USPS for standard shipping, so please provide your PO Box address if that is how you get your mail (talking to you mountain town people!). Standard shipping is free for orders over $100. For more details on all of our shipping options, see below.
Standard Shipping
Our standard shipping option is USPS Ground Advantage, and is free for orders over $100, or $9 for orders under $100. This shipment method generally takes 3-7 business days to deliver after the package is shipped.
USPS Priority Mail
Need to get your order a little faster? We offer USPS Priority Mail for $12. This shipment method generally takes 2-4 business days to deliver after the package is shipped.
UPS 3 Day Select
Our UPS 3 Day Select shipping option is $25 for all domestic orders, and ensures that the package ships with UPS. Shipments can be expected to deliver 3 business days after the ship date. PO boxes are not accepted for this shipment method.
UPS 2nd Day Air
UPS 2nd Day Air is our fastest shipping option and costs $35. Shipments can be expected to deliver 2 business days after the ship date. PO boxes are not accepted for this shipment method.
Standard International Shipping
International shipping is $25. Wild Rye does not cover duties, taxes and other fees determined by the customs agency within the destination country. These fees will be due at the time of delivery and are non-refundable.
