Freel | Women's Bike Short - FINAL SALE
Our flagship short, the Freel has been Outside Magazine’s Gear of the Year and is beloved by mountain bikers everywhere, from the Alps to the Bitterroots. Made with shrub-resistant and mud-deflecting nylon, the Freel is an enduro ready short that seamlessly takes you from the red rocks of Moab to the loamy single track of the PNW. With four-way stretch, deep pockets, and our unique collection of playful prints, the Freel is a beautifully designed short that’s still technical as hell. No compromises, it’s our favorite workhorse.
Wild Thing: We love a graphic neutral and the Wild Thing’s unique white on black pattern captures the playfulness of traditional animal prints but reimagines it as something you would want to wear everyday!
Poppy: The poppy thrives equally on urban medians and open hillsides. This resilient, special flower follows the sun, and since you can’t pick them, we’ve collected them for you in this print!
Breezy Rye: An homage to our name, the Breezy Rye print showcases the humble, native grasses that sustain the plains and the mountains of our native west.
Wild West: Are you sensing a theme? We’re very into landscape and the Wild West print is rooted in the traditions and images of the northern rockies, and in particular, Idaho, which Wild Rye calls home.
Wild Rye ships via USPS (yep, we’re buying up as many stamps as possible to do our part to save the US Postal Service) - please provide your PO Box address if that is how you get your mail (talking to you mountain town people!)
We offer a 30 day return / exchange policy from ship date. Final sale items are noted in the product description - these items cannot be returned for any reason. Full details here.

Loved the pattern and the feel of wearing them, only problem is that the 12 in inseam goes past my knees
Stretchy enough to move but thick enough for protecting which I push and that is always a plus knowing a little more protection is there.
I originally ordered the size 10 because that’s the size of my other wild rye shorts that I purchased a few years back and the new ones were too tight. I sent them back and ordered a size 12 which fit great, but once I start riding in them they become very lose and I have to keep pulling them up. I think I should have stick with the size 10 but they were just so tight.
I bought these in mustard poppy and I love them! The fabric is great, durable, comfortable AND stylish! So much so, that I’m going to buy them in another color (or three)!
I love the colors and the durable, stretchy fabric.
